101: Exploring Free Will with Kilian Korth and Christie Brinker

In this episode of the Tribe of Runners Podcast, we’re stepping outside of running for a second and getting into something deeper.I’m joined with co-host Christie and Killian for a conversation around free will, choice, and how much of our lives are actually in our control. What if you’re not as in control as you think you are?We dive into the science, the philosophy, and our own experiences that have made us question what it really means to “choose” anything. We talk about how your thoughts, reactions, and decisions might be shaped more by your environment, genetics, and past experiences than you realize. We also talk about what that means for how you may view success, failure, and even suffering. This conversation goes into:Whether free will is real… or just something we believe to feel in controlHow mindset, meditation, and awareness can shift your experienceWhy letting go of control can actually bring more peaceHow this way of thinking impacts running, performance, and lifeThis one isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking better questions. If you’ve ever struggled with pressure, expectations, or trying to control everything in your life, this episode might shift how you see it all.The book we are talking about is Free Will by Sam HarrisFind my Personal IG: @itslizmyersPodcast IG: @tribeofrunnersFor EASY ACCESS to all the Link HERE

100: The Comeback I Didn't Expect

WELCOME BACK!Lets just say... I took some time. In this solo episode of the Tribe of Runners Podcast, I open up about the reality behind stepping away from running, from social media, and from the constant pressure to keep showing up when life feels overwhelming. After a season of injury, burnout, and personal challenges, I was over it all. I share what it looked like to take a much-needed break and why this “comeback” isn’t the one I originally envisioned. Instead of a return marked by kick ass race, this is a comeback rooted in rebuilding. To rebuild mentally, emotionally, and as a human first and then diving back into all things I love so much.I talk about the importance of protecting your mental health, learning to control what you can control, and navigating the balance between life, business, and passion. Also, reflecting on the lessons learned during this time away and what it meant for me to rediscover joy in running without pressure and/or expectation. This episode is honest, vulnerable, and a reminder that growth doesn’t always look the way we planned. Sometimes is a crazy spiral and you lose your shit... but it’s often exactly what we need.Find my Personal IG: @itslizmyersPodcast IG: @tribeofrunnersFor EASY ACCESS to all the Link HERE
