"Violation" has been making the rounds on the festival circuit since its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall. It has since played at Sundance and SXSW Film Festivals where many are talking about the film's brutal revenge story, the captivating performance from Madeleine Sims-Fewer, the film's cinematography, sound and more! Cinematographer Dariusz Wolski has worked with great directors such as Gore Verbinski, Tim Burton, Tony and Ridley Scott throughout his career. His first collaboration with Paul Greengrass for "News Of The World" has brought about a tremendous amount of praise. As of today, he's been nominated for the Critics Choice, BAFTA and ASC Awards for Best Cinematography. Dariusz has never received an Oscar nomination in his nearly thirty-year career but he may be on the verge of achieving that with this film. He was kind enough to talk to us about his work on the project, what it was like collaborating with Greengrass and star Tom Hanks & Helena Zengel, the challenges he faced during production and more! "Saint Maud" may have had a bumpy theatrical roll out due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the reviews have been heavenly for debut filmmaker Rose Glass and the film's lead actress, Morfydd Clark. Clark is currently up for a BAFTA Rising Star Award and it's easy to see why after watching her haunting performance in this disturbing film. She was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about working with Rose, her experience making the film, the film's religious themes, what it was like to get inside the head of such a troubled character and more.
