Interview With "Mainstream" Director & Writer, Gia Coppola
Gia Coppola made her feature filmmaking debut in 2013 with "Palo Alto," which was well-received upon release. She then took some time to work on a few music videos and is now back with her second feature film, "Mainstream," starring Andrew Garfield, Maya Hawke, Nat Wolf & Jason Schwartzmann. A six year long project, the film first started at Sony with "Spider-Man: Into The Spier-Verse's" creative team and the producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller before moving to Netflix due to the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving a name-change (formerly titled "Connected") and now, it's finally here for the world to see.
