Interview With "Cruella" Director, Craig Gillespie

Craig Gillespie already had a stellar filmography, but everything changed when he made "I, Tonya" in 2017. It caught the eyes of Disney executives who brought him on for his biggest project yet, a live-action origin story of one of Disney's most notorious villains in "Cruella." Craig was kind enough to spend some time talking about how he came on board for the project, what it was like working with Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, finding the right tone for the dark story, and more! "The Wolf Of Wall Street"

THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPictureOur 2013 retrospective is continuing with our final podcast this month, and it's a big one! Whenever there's a discussion about a Martin Scorsese-directed film, it's a big deal, and his 2013 Best Picture nominee "The Wolf Of Wall Street" has been the subject of much controversy making it one of the master filmmaker's most divisive films in his illustrious filmography. With a wildly possessed performance from DiCaprio, a surprising turn from Jonah Hill, and a breakout role for Margot Robbie, the film is not short on various talking points ranging from the acting to the direction, screenplay, and editing. What did we think of this three-hour-long film on the meaning of excess and greed? Find out as I'm joined by Ema Sasic, Dan Bayer, and Michael Schwartz. Interviews With "The Killing Of Two Lovers" Star Clayne Crawford & Sound Designer Peter Albrechtsen

Making its premiere at Sundance over a year ago, "The Killing Of Two Lovers" is one of those independent discoveries that makes you excited to see what everyone involved will be doing next. That's because so many elements are well-thought-out and pronounced within the film to tell a story that feels familiar but is being presented in ways unlike we've previously seen before. Part of that is the richly layered performance from Clayne Crawford as the film's protagonist David and the unnerving sound work by Sound Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Designer Peter Albrechtsen. Both of them were kind enough to take some time to tell us about their roles in the making of this excellent film which is now in theaters and on VOD. Take a listen down below. We hope you enjoy it and that you seek this one out.Check out more on NextBestPicture.comPlease subscribe on...SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/nextbestpicturepodcastiTunes Podcasts - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/negs-best-film-podcast/id1087678387?mt=2Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/7IMIzpYehTqeUa1d9EC4jTAnd be sure to help support us on Patreon for as little as $1 a month at https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture Learn more about your ad choices.
