Ep. 599: Dealing with Post-Adventure Depression - Joe Jimenez

Thru-Hiking: An honest look at post-adventure depression following a Pacific Crest Trail completion and the emotional challenge of transitioning back to everyday life. After any great adventure, there's a very good chance the life you come back to is not nearly as exciting or engaging as the adventure you recently finished. For many adventurers, this can lead to a pretty dark time in their life known as post-adventure depression. Today we're chatting again with Joe Jiminez (from episode 443) who recently finished the Pacific Crest Trail. He's currently dealing with post-adventure life and was kind enough to share his feelings and experience from what he calls an epic adventure and transitioning back to normal life. takingthealternate.comInstagram: @takingthealternateANNOUNCEMENT:We will be taking a nearly two-week break from the show during the holidays. Ep. 593: Starting an Adventure Travel Company - Jake Gafner

Adventure Travel: A decade of global exploration inspired a husband and wife to create a travel company bridging the gap between fully guided tours and solo adventures. Jake has spent over a decade camping, climbing, diving, driving, paddling, pedaling, hiking, exploring, sailing, and failing all over the world. In his travels, he noticed that there were a ton of folks who booked organized and pre-planned travel experiences and many folks who do completely solo adventures, but not much in between. After many conversations about the missing travel experience in between the two, he and his wife started Lost Travel Company, a middle ground between planned travel and solo adventures for folks who want a true adventure with the camaraderie of group travel and the freedom to adventure how they want to. Visit www.lost.travel For info about their adventureswww.lost.travel/tracker For the Adventure TrackerTwitter @losttravelco Instagram: @losttravelcoFacebook: @losttravelcoTry CS Instant Coffee for 50% off your first order for the months of September and October only!
