In ancient Judaism, a woman was unclean while she was on her period. She could only return to the marriage bed 7 days after her period stopped and only then after going through ritual cleansing. So, that means opportunity for sexual relations were not nearly as plentiful as it is for us since Christ came. So, my friends, let's talk about periods and sex To start, let's talk about female health in general, what are some things that affect our periods and are signs that a woman should go to her doctor? Is there any reason to prohibit sexual relations while a wife is on her period according to Christian traditions? What are some things to help make it less messy and more comfortable? Leviticus 15:19: "When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening."
