A body is dumped in a desolate field on the east shore of Staten Island. The woman had been handcuffed, strangled, beaten to death and then the body set on fire. She went unnamed for over thirty years. New technology leads to an identification and another mystery.  Christine Belusko, raised in Montville, New Jersey, had been adopted by a loving family.  Christine, however, didn't know she was adopted. When she found out, the news caused a rift with her parents. Belusko tells her parents she is moving to Florida. This single mom however never made it South. 'EMPIRE' Star Convicted of Faking Hate Crime on Self Files Appeal

Empire co-star Jussie Smollett is out of jail while attorneys appeal his conviction for lying to police about a hate crime attack against him. Smollett began serving his 150 day sentence, but just days later the actor was released. Smollett’s attorneys arguing that he would complete the sentence by the time the process was completed. They also cited homophobic threats received by the actor in their request for emergency release. Teen Girl Vanishes Night Before High School Dance, Kidnapped from Mall?

Pamela Conyers spent the night of Oct 16,  in typical teenager fashion. She went to the Friday night homecoming bonfire and pep rally at Glen Burnie High School. Afterward,  her mother gave her 5 dollars and the keys to the family car to run to a nearby mall to pick up shoe dye. Conyers never made it home.  Just days later,  a man reports to police, that he found a 1966 Dodge in an overgrown field about 100 yards off the road. It was the car Conyers was driving. Her body is found about 300 yards from the car. Conyers was lying on her side, wearing slacks and a pullover sweater, that had been turned inside out. Her underwear, her purse and the car keys are missing.   Four detectives are assigned to Pamela Conyers' case full-time. More than 200 leads are checked out.  25 suspects, were picked up interrogated and then released after their alibis checked out. Clothing, dirt and soil samples vacuumed from the car were sent to the FBI crime laboratory in Washington for analysis.
