I'm excited to share with you part two of the Slay Her Way conversation with myself and my business besties. If you didn't catch it, go listen to the other episode first. If you want to get that part of it, and then come on back here so we can listen in on what it means to really show up online genuinely. How do you use your voice? Like how do you get over that fear of who you are and really connect with your audience? That's what we're going to talk about, and more, during this conversation. Listen in! Kimberly Olson: I'm going to answer Alex's question, then Chaitali, I'll turn it over to you. So she, and a lot of you, I've heard this from a lot of our students in Six Figure Breakthrough Business Academy, so I think a lot of you can identify with this. And I think we all went through this because we were definitely going down a different path with how we were showing up on social media than our uplines. So her team, "my team builds by puking the product all over social media" and it's expected from her. Okay. That's key. What's the best way to handle this? You're definitely not alone. So when something's expected of you, then you have just become a glorified sales rep. You're pretty much an independent contractor, like an employee. You're an entrepreneur, you are an entrepreneur. Kimberly Olson: And as soon as you registered your account with that company you get to choose, of course complying with policies and procedures, but you give yourself permission to say, "I appreciate that. I'm going to be respectful of them, but I'm going to respectfully decline", and give them that feedback. "I'm learning a way that feels really good to me and I have to do what's best for myself and my mental health in my business. I just need you to trust me. I'll absolutely be respectful. I'm not going to ever say anything negative with how you're building." And then you just respectfully decline and let them know, "you know what? I have to build this business in a way that feels really good to me". And when you do that, how can anyone argue with that? And if they do, just send them the replay of this webinar, okay? Chaitali, did you have that where you were posting a lot and then you kind of shifted? Or what was it like for you?

We're going to do a two-part series on Slay Her Way. This is a really cool thing that I've done with some of my business besties, Goal Digger coaches. You've seen them, I'm sure. And you get some special time with them today, an inside look on what it means to really build your business online in a way that feels genuine and authentic. Like how do you actually share your voice online? That's what we're going to talk about, listen in. Kimberly Olson: Hello, everyone. Welcome on. How y'all doing? Excited to get my co-hostesses on. Hostesses with the mostess. Hey Aleshia! All right. I see Kathy, Chaitali. Hello! We have Vanette rolling in as well here in a second. We're going to talk about how you can really build this business in a way that feels genuine and authentic to you. We're not streaming this anywhere. This is a very intimate conversation with me and my girlfriends, and sometimes we just have to schedule Zooms together so we can catch up and y'all get to hang out with us. I'm going to have them each introduce themselves, and then we'll get into a great discussion. I'm in Austin, Texas, and I'll let the other ladies share where they're from. So Aleshia, if you want to start, why don't you tell us a little bit about who you are and where you're tuning in from? Aleshia Wisch: Awesome. So I am from Northeast Ohio in a little town called Geneva. Absolutely love it here, born and raised. And I am a wife, my husband and I actually just celebrated 17 years together and eight years married and we have three awesome kids. But I absolutely love working with you ladies and love- what I'm really passionate about is helping women show up in their most authentic self. But it's the part of just being yourself so that you, 'cause you have so much value and you're gonna change the world in your very own special way. And it's so beautiful to watch the journeys of the people that we help. It's absolutely amazing. Kimberly Olson: Yay. I love it. Thank you so much. Yeah. You're definitely a role model for being yourself and that's what we need.

Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. I'm so excited because we have special guest, Laura Meyer on today. And, welcome Laura. First, want to say that, welcome. Laura Meyer:   Yeah, thank you so much for having me! It was meant to be. Kimberly Olson:   Yes, we are on podcast right now, but if we end up steaming this on YouTube as well, y'all we'll probably have to do that because our backgrounds match and we were just sharing how awesome that is. So we're meant to connect. I love it. Laura Meyer: Yeah So we have to look at the matching that's happening. Kimberly Olson:  00:28 Yes! Laura Meyer:   It's real. Kimberly Olson:   It's real. I love it. And it's nice that someone else has an affection for pink, like I do. So everyone listening has probably heard me talk about Kelly Roach. She's my coach. I've been in Legacy Leaders, Unstoppable Entrepreneur, Legacy Builders, Legacy Leaders for a year and a half. Addison's been in Give Her Courage, which is their Entre Leadership, a program for younger kiddos. And so everyone's familiar with that and that's how we got connected. So I would love for them to get to know about you. So do you mind sharing a little bit about who you are and your entrepreneurial journey? Laura Meyer:   Yeah. So, I have been an entrepreneur going on 20 years now, so it's been a while. And I started out in brick and mortar, actually had a wedding photography business. Then I grew it to a portrait studio chain, then I grew it to a national franchise. Then I ended up exiting that and getting into the online space. And at the time I had all of these different, incredible experiences, but I really struggled to figure out how to package them up in a way that made it easy for other people to say, "Oh my gosh, you're my person, right? Like I really want to hire you 'cause I have this problem and I want to solve the problem by investing in your expertise". And it took me a little while to kind of figure that out. And over the time I became friends with Kelly wrote, she lived a couple of towns away from me. Laura Meyer:   Our kids played together. We had a really nice relationship. I was in UE for a period of time as well. I still pretty much am. And then she became my business partner on the Advance Expert Network, which is the community that we started a few months ago, specifically for high level female experts, coaches, consultants done-for-you service providers, so they can grow their business through referral marketing. And that has been super fun to have a community of people who really needed what I needed three years ago.

Welcome back to another episode. We are going to talk about what to do if your team's not doing anything, you know what I'm talking about. So whether or not you've built a big team, have a small team, maybe have your first recruit that's not doing anything and you're scratching your head going, "what am I doing wrong?" We're going to get into that in more in this episode. But first, a listener review: "I've been following and learning from Kimberly Olson for almost two years. As I struggled from PTSD and many issues, this woman has been the kindest soul showing me how I can take back my mind and strive to succeed. It hasn't been easy, but you can tell she shows up every day with a 150% quality. She shows her passion and drive to truly want to help. She's a must-follow and you must take her courses. They're unbelievable how much value she has given to the cause. She is so amazing". Well, thank you so much. It's an anonymous, what's it called when no one knows who you are? Anonymous, right? Well, either way. Thank you. I appreciate it. And if you didn't know, you can leave a review on any platform that you're listening on. Yes. We now have a way to get all of them, so thank you. Okay. So we just, my team and actually all the way up the chain, like I think it was one of my mentors, I know for sure it was his biggest month in the 20 years he's been in this industry. But our team had our biggest month and I was thinking a lot about that. Like why, what was the difference? And we also had, I think, 50 rank advancements and just a lot of wins. Right? A lot of amazing things. I maxed out on one side of the comp plan, myself. So it was really great. And I was thinking about that, like, what was it?  You know, what was the difference? So this is what I will say to you. And this isn't exactly easy to hear sometimes, but it can allow you to get back in the driver's seat and take control.  So if you're feeling at a loss at this point, or you don't know what to do to get people going, this will help you. Okay. So first off you can't force people to do things.

We have a guest interview, we're going to talk about how she built it with Patti Whiteye. So without further ado, I'm going to bring on Patti Whiteye. She's someone that just caught my eye right away. She's been a Goal Digger, someone that I've known for quite some time. We have a lot in common, but she was just one of those people that we had a chance to talk on the phone one time, and I was like, "Ohhhh!"  It's just so refreshing to connect with other women that are operating at the same level, have huge goals, want to impact, want to just make great income as well, but just goes after it. And I really believe that success leaves clues. Welcome on Patti. We're so excited to have you and hear about you and your journey and your success. So let's just take it back a minute. So I know you've been in the professional career space for a long time. Tell us a bit about your career, your corporate world. And then when did you get into entrepreneurship? Can you kind of bring us up to speed a little bit? Patti Whiteye: Sure. Yeah. It's my story is really long. I'm going to give you a really shortened version of it. I started teaching in 1991, High School math teacher. And, when I met my husband, I quit my job and moved to be with him where his job was. And I had a hard time getting back into teaching 'cause they weren't hiring. So we actually owned our own karate studio for 10 years. And then I got back into teaching and when my kids all left, I have three children. They're all gone away, I have two boys in the Marine Corps and a daughter who goes to school in Florida. And when they left, I really felt that whole empty nest thing. Like really empty. And I started with my company because of the products. I actually just, I had no clue that this could possibly be something for me to do. And I started the products. I really loved them. I'm like, "you know what? I'm going to look into this some more". And I realized that this is way bigger than helping people with products. And so I set a goal that I wanted to retire from my teaching career and I was able to do that in January. Kimberly Olson:   Congratulations! That's such a huge thing, because so many people talk about it and you don't hear it as much as we'd like to. So when you do cross that milestone, we need to stop and celebrate that. We need to say it can be done with hard work, tenacity, just keeping your eye on the prize. It can be done.

180: The Top Algorithm Hacks that Can 10x Your Engagement

How familiar are you with the social media algorithms? In this episode I'll give you the details on how to 10x your engagement with these quick algorithm hacks! Listen in to find new ideas to blow up your engagement and audience. Show Notes: Show Notes: Check out my Facebook groups for those that want to build their business online through social media, in a genuine and authentic way: Goal Digging Boss Babes: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggingBossBabes & Goal Digger Creatives: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggerCreatives Goal Digger University is where you can access my archive and newly released workshops, masterclasses, bonus training PLUS my Mastermind- with weekly live in-depth training for a monthly subscription: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggerU  Connect with me across the social media platforms on Search My Social: https://searchmysocial.media/thegoaldiggergirl  If you find value in this podcast, please leave us a review - it means so much!   https://ratethispodcast.com/thegoaldiggergirl  Partial Transcript - Read the Full Transcript here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10xfWg_dLR0l7f_d_ob2V_Gxp77yH01yn/view?usp=sharing All right, Goal Digger, welcome back to another episode. In this episode, I'm going to give you the top algorithm hacks that can totally 10X your engagement. When it comes down to it, your engagement is everything. Your algorithm. Really understanding the algorithm and how to beat it is going to allow you to get in front of people. If you're not getting in front of people and people aren't seeing your content, even if it's awesome, then you're not going to have people to talk to. Right? So that's literally the name of the game. So if you want to grow your business or your online presence, then this episode is for you. First, we have a listener review, "easy to implement and easy to follow. I follow you on all your platforms, and I'm just amazed at all you have to offer. I love learning from you and have done so much for my business in the last few months. I love that your podcasts are short and simple and easy to implement right now. Thank you for everything. You're truly an inspiration. I'm so thankful for everything you've given me. Jennifer K". Thanks, Jennifer. You're so sweet. I appreciate it very, very much. So I'm going to give you guys five awesome ideas for algorithm packs. So I'm sure you know this by now, but just in case, algorithm is basically kind of the rating that your account gets. So there's many things that can boost your algorithm or give you a higher algorithm rating. But what you want to think about is you - like the longevity of your account, for example. You want your account to have a high algorithm rating. It's dictated by the social media platforms themselves. We're mostly gonna talk about Facebook today, but what I share with you can definitely translate over to Instagram and other platforms. So what we want to do is we want high algorithm. What this means is when you post something, if you have a high algorithm rating, it tells Facebook, "Ooh, we like her content. We like her profile overall. We like how she's showing up", and it will take your post and share it and put it out in the newsfeed in front of more people. So if you and I post the same thing and I have a higher algorithm rating, then my content is going to be seen by more of my people than yours. So if you've ever posted something and it had like two likes and no comments, and you're like "WTH?", that's why.

I know you have all heard me talk about her many, many times, one of our Goal Digger coaches, one of my business besties, just an amazing mompreneur, Chaitali Desai. Welcome on! Chaitali Desai: Hey, hey, thank you so much for inviting me. I love it! Kimberly Olson:   So excited. Oh my gosh, I was telling you before we started recording, it's like we're moving in so many different directions that we have to schedule a podcast to actually see each other and catch up. Chaitali Desai:   I know, I'm looking forward to our retreat so we can all just kind of breathe and say, "Hey, I'm me and you're you" and finally meet. Kimberly Olson:   Right. And if you guys listening and you've been in our challenges or in our programs, Chaitali and I have never met before. So I mean, it's just crazy the power of social media and I can't wait to hug you. I'm super pumped. So for those that are new to you, do you mind sharing a little bit about who you are, what you do and a little bit about your entrepreneurial journey? Chaitali Desai:   Sure. So I'm Chaitali Desai, I am a corporate wife and a mom of two. And for the longest time, my main focus was my family. We moved so much because we are a corporate family that my main "job" was to make sure everyone was settled in wherever we were. And since we were overseas for so long, I was just engrossed in like learning where we were in the countries and just all of that stuff. Then upon coming back to the US, I was like, "Oh geez, I need to do something". 'Cause my kids are getting bigger. So I started looking in the online space because for sure, no matter where we lived, there was always wifi, always internet, even up in the Bush when we were on Safari you still were connected. So I was like, "okay, I'm going to start to go this path". And slowly I entered  network marketing, I was introduced to you. And fast forward, here we are today on a  podcast. Still, I can't believe how I'm getting to help people. 'Cause that's one of my core values and then never in a million years, did I think this was what it was going to be, but I'm a loving it. The business, coaching, the strategy, just being able to use all of my colorful background and certifications and just helping people continue to grow. It's amazing. Kimberly Olson:   I mean, I just see you just evolving and shining and it's, it's been so much fun to get to know you and work with you.

Welcome back to another episode. Kimberly Olson here. First we have a listener review and then we're going to dive into the behind-the-scenes of how I really run my day. So this listener is Shop With Michelle and she says, "motivating podcast. Thank you so much for your genuine approach to helping people. You share such good content with a relatable and motivational message. I learned so much every time I listened. You are awesome". Thank you so much, Michelle. That's very sweet. I appreciate it. And just so you guys know, if you went back to my original podcast, I used to live stream them on Instagram. I don't prepare notes for these. When I interview people, obviously we have an outline, but these solo ones, I purposefully created the structure for the podcast that way, because I wanted it to really be like you and I were hanging out, you know, having a conversation. Obviously it's one way, but one way dialogue. But my idea around it was if it was unscripted, then it could have that natural feel to it. And that's my goal. So I appreciate you saying that and y'all wherever you're listening, please leave a review because we have a way to find all of the reviews now, which we didn't have that capability. And we're actually coming up on our three year anniversary of The Goal Digger Girl podcast. I just realized that - I think we started in April or May of 2018. So I'm going to have to check that out, but throw it in your stories and say, "so happy to share and celebrate a three-year anniversary". And give me a tag and I'll give you a shout out. So I thought it'd be cool to talk about how I really run my day, because I'll never forget the first coaching program I was in. The girl that was running it, she said, "okay, now I'm going to run through my day. Like, what do I really do?" And she went through and I was like, "Whoa!" There was so much that she did, but it was also kind of an eye-opener of, this is what it takes to, and at the time I don't think she was quite at seven figures, but she was definitely at multiple six figures. Well on her way to seven. So she was having huge success in her network marketing company as well, which was why I was coaching with her at the time. So it really helped me a lot, and I thought it would help you as well.  So I'm just going to kind of share with you exactly how my day goes.

I was like, "this woman's on a mission here. She's so no-nonsense". And it's so refreshing to me because you are very unique and it's just, it's wonderful. And I think this'll be a good way for people to kind of check themselves before they wreck themselves. So, so they can get to know you better to kick it off. Natalie Dreger: So again, thanks for having me. I'm so honored. So my name is Natalie Dreger and I've actually been a certified fitness professional for about 17 years now. I am a mom of two boys. That is so cool. Natalie Dreger: We got separated for 34 years with no contact. And within 12 hours of reconnecting, he asked me to marry him. Kimberly Olson: I think you have a book coming. 'Cause that's like an amazing story. Natalie Dreger: I do have a book coming out that covers all of that. I am beyond blessed and it's such a cool story. But yeah, so I've been in the fitness industry for quite a while and I actually started that journey as a single mom of 14 years. Kimberly Olson: Wow. Okay. So you had your two kiddos and they're pretty far in age, but you're also very young. Like you're - the math isn't adding up. I mean, you're very young. So you had your first child when you were pretty young and then raised that child by yourself? Natalie Dreger: Exactly. I was, you know, I could have been a statistic. I was a 16 year old high school cheerleader. And the tables were turned a little bit and I raised him by myself. Kimberly Olson: Oh my gosh, Natalie kudos to you. That's incredible.

We're so excited to have you listen in today because we're going to talk about why you may want to stop trying to recruit and instead focus on customer building. And I know I got your attention on that one, right? So keep an open mind. 'Cause I think this is going to actually take some pressure off and it is still going to help you rise above, reach your end goal of making a successful online business work for you. But first, a listener review. So it says "Great podcast". This is from Lefty822. It says, "Awesome motivational podcast. Kimberly gives great tips and tricks to get your business going as well. She also has great guests to learn from. Go listen". Oh, I just love that. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Yeah. For a really long time, I just recorded the podcast was actually, I would go live on Instagram. I would do the recording from that, and obviously it was mostly myself. And then one day I was like, you know what? I want to include interviews because I am such an advocate of collaboration and I feel like we can learn from others. So if you haven't noticed, every other episode is an interview, which is kind of fun. So thank you for the review and you can actually leave a review wherever you're listening to the podcast and we're able to populate those. So please leave a review. It means so, so much to me. So let's first get into why you may want to stop trying to recruit. So the reason why is I actually recently did an affiliate marketing webinar around this, and I did a lot of research going into it. And what we found is that through the research, the experts say in this field, in this space of network marketing/direct sales, that the average person, well, out of all the people recruiting, trying to enroll people, only 20% enroll someone. So, that's not that many, right? One out of five. And of those, half enrolled a second person. So you're looking at about 10% of people are going to enroll at least two people. So that's a really small number.
