U.S. Open Reaction: Bryson DeChambeau wins at Winged Foot (9/20)

We have a U.S. Open champion! Bryson DeChambeau overpowered Winged Foot in commanding fashion. The whole First Cut crew is on hand to break it down on today’s episode. Bryson DeChambeau joins elite company as one of a handful of players to win both the U.S. Amateur and the U.S. Open. His hard work and unique perspective on the game has 100% been validated with today’s win. Is his unique style sustainable and should he be the favorite to win at Augusta? Matthew Wolff lead entering Sunday, he’ll go home Sunday as a major champion runner-up. At only the young age of 21 it’s entirely possible we’ll see more of Matthew Wolff and his unique swing. With two top-5 major finishes under his belt is he already a major stalwart (20:10)? Louis Oosthuizen, Harris English and Xander Schauffele rounded out the top-5 at Winged Foot. Just how underrated is this trio’s talent (29:10). Will Zalatoris is the guy to watch out for in the future. The current Korn Ferry Tour member finished T6 ahead of plenty of PGA Tour star power.
