284: The 4th child you never knew I had (and what she is teaching me)

Any intimate relationship, like the one we have with children, will show us exactly where and how we can grow. They trigger us. They point out our deep wounds and force us to look at them (or run away from them). Intimacy in any relationship is uncomfortable, vulnerable and sometimes heartbreaking. Our expectations of who we want this person to be are different than who they really are. This is the relationship I've had with my body over the last 5 years. The 4th children, you never knew I had. In episode 284 I talk about: * How our bodies have tantrums, just as children do. * Why we need to understand what red, green and yellow zones. * The correlation between mothering my own physical children and mothering my physical body. It's all about relationships and how we choose to lead our own lives. You have one body and limited time in it. Don't waste in constant conflict with the one person you can never get away from... yourself. xo H P.S. We still have a few spots left for the Fall Round of MIIC Mastery, if you've been interested in coaching with me 1:1, now is your opportunity. Click here for more details: www.momisincontrol.com

283: Being Sick Never Felt Better!

"Stop walking through the world looking for confirmation that you don't belong. You will always find it because you've made that your mission. Stop scouring people's faces for evidence that you're not enough. You will always find it because you've made that your goal. True belonging and self-worth are not goods; we don't negotiate their value with the world. The truth about who we are lives in our hearts. Our call to courage is to protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially our own. No one belongs here more than you." ― Brené Brown In this podcast episode I talk about: Why I'm done pretending living a 'normal' life is enough for me. How fear can make you sick, but it doesn't have to hold you back. Why choosing yourself over and over again will create the most profound connection you've ever imagined. How to let your body guide you through this process. The truth is, I want more, and I'm going to continue going after it. Because the more I have, the more I can give. The more time I have, the more I can spend it with those who matter, doing what I love and making a difference. The more energy I have, the healthier I can. The more focus and attention I can give to what is in front of me (the good, bad and ugly). The more money I create, the more I can create with it. This is abundance, and it's the ONLY want to live a happy, healthy life that allows you to GIVE back beyond your wildest dreams. But not everyone is willing to do the work to get there. Are you? This is what MIIC Mastery is all about. Women on a mission to make a difference, in their homes and the world. If you've been looking for a mentor in guiding you through this process, now is the time to apply. www.momisincontrol.com xo H P.S BONUS COACHING ($1500 value): The earlier you apply for MIIC Mastery the better - we start in September which means you will gain access to me one-on-one until then, apply today. www.momisincontrol.com

282: How To Stop Yelling

"I simply do not think that yelling, swearing, threatening or belittling will get you to the place you want to be faster than kindness, understanding, patience and a little willingness to compromise." -Rachel Nichols The 3 Main Reasons Why You're Yelling At The Kids (And What You Can Do To Stop) During this free training I will be talking about: How to listen & identify what your body is trying to tell you Why it's so difficult to stop yelling and the unconventional habits you can implement ASAP that will drastically reduce how often you yell (my clients typically see improvements within 2 weeks implementing these tools). The woo-woo spiritual reason why I think our children trigger us and how this is a sign that good things are happening (if you are up for the challenge). xo H P.S. 281: MONO Tasking

"People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. However, that's not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are." - Steve Jobs Distraction and being 'busy' have become socially acceptable ways of being and in all honesty I never (yes you heard me right) feel busy. My life may feel full at times, but when it does, I've trained my brain how to stop and focus on the task at hand. This has taken years of practice, personal investment and a dedication to release my addiction to feeling busy. In Episode 281 on the podcast I talk about: * Why multi-tasking takes longer * How mono-tasking gives me more time and energy to focus on what matters most * The importance of identifying your high leverage actions and why resistance will rear it's ugly head when you attempt to complete these tasks Are you ready to learn how to implement these strategies in your own life? Applications are now open for the MIIC Mastery Program www.momisincontrol.com Are you ready to finally feel in control of your life? Are you done yelling and feeling chronically exhausted? Do you want to fall asleep feeling content? Do you want to be able to spend time with your children and BE all there? Not anxious. Not overwhelmed. Just there, present? Over the last few years, I've witnessed women from all walks of life transform how they show up. Women are telling me "Heather, you've saved my life." Moreover, I am going to show up step by step how to get there. The truth is I haven't saved anyone. All I've done is create community, space and held women accountable for doing the work needed to become whom they were born to be. She just wants you to understand yourself. Everything else is negotiable." ― Neal Stephenson, Snow Crash During this podcast episode Bryan (my husband) and I talk about: Why it's a good idea to launch your partner in the 'deep end' and let them figure it out.
