How I Left My Corporate Job Stress-free
If you've been following along as I've grown my business for the last three or so years, you may not know this, but I actually had a full-time position in a Fortune 50 company during that time. I took this job when I moved to Connecticut, but I knew that the next role that I took would be a job and not a career. And that was the key difference that really set my path forward from that point on. Now, there's a big difference between a job and a career. My interpretation of that difference is that a career is part of your mission, passion, and purpose. If your career satisfies you to where you want to accelerate it, you want to excel and grow, then that is something to be celebrated and you should go for it. What I realized after being in several roles in big accounting firms and then Fortune 50 companies, was that that wasn't for me anymore. I really thought it was, I really did. And that was the traditional carved-out path that I had followed up until that point. Then I realized that that path is not set in stone for you and you can hop off the train whenever you want to. So I decided to do that. I'm going to tell you a little more about this journey and how I got to the point where I could leave my full-time job. >>> Questions about this episode?
