KNP55 - 5 Rules to Earn Self-Respect and The Importance of a Night Routine
Today's episode was dual purpose in covering two different topics. First was a night routine and the importance of it. We have talked about how a morning routine changed my life, but I feel I didn't talk at all about how a night routine helps tie it all together. Second thing I covered was the 5 Rules for self respect. Full transparency it was a post by Tom Bilyeu I saw on Instagram. It was so impactful, I had to share it with you all! I digest each 5 things more in depth to try to bring you maximum value on it! These type of things often need to marinate for a bit to really create the impact it needs to. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it! swanwicksleep.com - Discount Code Key2017 keysupps.com - Discount Code KEY30 Connect with your Host on IG - @the_soberbody_builder Connect with the company - @keynutritionutah

KNP54 - Discipline is the Gateway to Freedom with Mike Symkoviak
Today was a special one for me. I had the chance to interview my long time friend and competitive bodybuilder, Mike Symkoviak. Mike was a guy who knew me in the depths of my addiction and still treated me with love and respect. He has competed over 17 times and has a passion like you wouldn't believe for the sport. With some of the negative light we have shed on competition, Mike's story reminds us that there are people out there who genuinely have a love for the whole process. We talk about his roots as a Mormon competitive bodybuilder. How he finds the daily determination to do what he does, and pick his brain about what holds clients back the most. Real, raw and inspiring, enjoy! KNP53 - What is Carb Cycling and Does it Actually Work?
Carb cycling 101 - The how. the what, and the why. The term carb cycling is thrown around a lot and the funny thing is there is not one set way to carb cycle. With so much gray area around it I thought it was important to try and narrow this down for you all. This method has some merit, and if used correctly, can deliver great results. This isn't just for fitness competitors or athletes, carb cycling can be used for anyone trying to reach fitness goals. However, just like most things, people like to claim carb cycling is the end all be all for results. That just is not the truth. The goal of the this episode is to give some clarity behind the subject and help you identify if it's a possible strategy for you to try or not. Hope you enjoy! KNP52 - Improving Your Connection with Food and Fitness with Maria Ayne
Today's Podcast was a special one. We had Maria Ayne, also known as nutritionistmaria on social media platforms, join us. A powerful episode where we covered so many different topics. I have wanted to have Maria on our show for a long time now because her message is so raw and authentic. The diversity she brought to the podcast by talking about subjects like spirituality, meditation and how it all plays into the game of fitness, was phenomenal. We explore just how much of a mind - body - spirit game we are all playing. I am confident you will get a lot out of this episode! Below is a little more about Maria. Maria Ayne is a nutritionist and behavior specialist who helps people overcome a destructive relationship with food—from food addiction, binge eating, compulsive eating, emotional eating, to intake restriction. Her journey began in an effort to overcome her own struggles with food. Along this journey, she realized that we all want to be as fit and healthy as we can be. She wondered, if we all place a high value on our health and vitality why do some many people find it so difficult to make healthy choices. If we have a strong instinctual aversion to harming ourselves or our bodies, why do these instincts seem to fall short when it comes to harmful junk-foods and other manmade stimulants? She has committed her career to provide the world with these answers, by using a unique approach that merges new scientific data with old spiritual teachings. Her system is one that integrates mind, body, and spirit for a holistic approach to recovery. Maria is the creator of a revolutionary 90 day online program that focuses on these issues, and is the author of 'The Eating Enigma,' a book that provides strategies to overcome these issues. KNP47 - Cortisol - The Dr. Jekel, Mr. Hyde
Todays episode was on cortisol and stress. I dove deep on the research and why cortisol is not always a bad thing. However, today the way we have it chronically elevated is severely compromising not only our health, but our body as whole. Interesting that we are seeing declines in hormone levels at an exponentially higher rate today than we did 30 years ago. The one big culprit for that is the extremely high stress world we live in. I gave you some tactical steps you can do to help minimize stress responses so you can better hit your fitness goals! And most importantly, to be happy and healthy!
