#213 The Role of The Primary Care Network Manager
#213 The Role of The Primary Care Network Manager I work as a Primary Care Network Manger within Primary Care Networks. However, this podcast is honestly applicable to any management role. I learned a lot of these skills when I worked in a university as a business development manager. It doesn't really matter where you are, it's the skills and how you apply them to your area of work. The role of a Primary Care Network Manager supporting their Clinical Lead, I believe needs to be a master facilitator. They are the person that your clinical lead will look to. You're just behind them, you're their best supporting actor or actress you're there to help. Sometimes you may chair the meeting, or you are the double act to the chair in a meeting. You're really good at gaining consensus and uncovering the things that are not being said. Topics to listen out for Looking at things with an entrepreneurial lens. Be the Leader & Driver. You can not do this job if negative feedback is going to cripple you. Learn from other Business Leaders. Mentions in the episode Back in episode 26, I talked you through the role of the clinical lead that is spearheading a service, a project or healthcare network. - click here to listen to this episode. I also wrote a blog titled - The role of a network lead. Click here to read. I talk about the leadership mindset, vision and the work required behind the scenes.
