Days Off Bites Founders Joanna + Anissa Benadrete

In this episode , I am joined by sisters Anissa and Joanna Benadrete, Co- Founders of Days Off Bites while on a quest to discover what makes people live happier, healthier lives. Before launching her company, Joanna was in venture capital, investing in t he health and food-tech industries. She saw a problem with the way the current food, healthcare, and agricultural systems work, and she wanted to contribute to change them for the better. As an integrative health coach with a strong conviction in functional medicine, the main question she asked was, "What allows you to wake up feeling energized & ready to seize the day?" She found that food plays a big role. It scientifically affects how we feel, but advising people to "eat better" is easier said than done. She realized that it's all about small steps. It's the daily actions that add up. Joanna's mission is to make the "better" option the one consumers want to choose. To help consumers take daily steps toward feeling good, mentally & physically. Days Off Bites are made with clean ingredients you know & trust. They're infused with superfoods, which consumers can enjoy daily without the stomach ache, sugar crash, or guilt that come with mainstream chocolate--because consumers deserve a day off from all that stress. Anissa Benadrete is the Co-Founder of Days Off Bites with her sister Joanna. She started her career at JPMorgan in the private bank, then co-founded an e-commerce company based in London. When she first started working, post university, she experienced extreme food sensitivities she never had before and went on a health journey discovering gut-health and the deeper aspects of healthy eating + living. When Joanna decided to launch a healthy cpg product she joined forces with her to co-found Days Off Bites.
