Watching people interact with your packaging on shelf or secret shopping is the fastest way to prioritize design. Experiencing the Consumer Journey Before Designing Anything is critical to your packaging design process. Yes it's fun to design and solve problems, but going through the journey yourself then watching others go through it will unlock the hurdles keeping your design from being effective.  What's effective?
