Women deal with dry vaginas at different times of the month along with birth controls and medications that can cause dryness.Lubricants can aid in lengthy sexual intercourse. It can be used vaginally, anally, orally, and in masturbation.Oil's made for cooking is not meant for sexual intercourse. This can mess with the PH levels in women that can lead to infections. Preservatives in lube can also lead to infection so do your research.Different types of lubricants:- Water- Oil- Silicone- HybridWater-based is good for PH balance, vaginal intercourse, and masturbation but it does dry quickly so it may need to be used more often. This can also happen in uncircumcised men. Pre-puberty or Post-Menopause patients deal with this LS. 2020 National Journal of Women’s Health says it is very rare but it happens 1/70 women and is more common than we realize. Symptoms and Diagnosis happen between 5-15 years. Tenderness, itching, burning, bruising, sours, bleeding, tearing, and irritation, Pain, wrinkles, white spots, and inflammation are some of the symptoms with Lichen Sclerosus. It is very important for you to “interview” your primary care doctor on treatment plans as a part of doing your research.The earlier treatment most traditional doctors use is a topical steroid cream which has adverse side effects such as thinning.Dr. Durst and Farideh are going to do a deeper dive into this to show dietary effects on this form of inflammation along with other root causes. Regenerating is the only way to help with the type of serious skin condition. PRP and laser treatments are two treatments to get regeneration of an area at a cellular level. O-shot with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is one of the popular treatments RevitalyzeMD does to treat Lichen Sclerosus.
