Episode 130 - Happiness Happens with Robin Singh of Peepal Farm

Today, I am joined by Robin Singh of Peepal Farm. An ex-hacker and ex-techie, Robin  today runs Peepal Farm, an animal rescue and awareness organization that helps animals heal and be heard. He lives on-site in a mud house, grows his own food and brews and sells Kombucha. His bumpy career start in 1997-hacking Internet accounts and selling bootleg CDs-had landed surprisingly smoothly, when a misspelled e-mail landed him a job in the US in 2003. That same year, he started a technology service that helped tens of thousands independent artists sell their digital goods directly to consumers. In 2010, with all the checkboxes checked on the societal template, he had a crisis of meaning of sorts, and he came back to India to try and be happy perpetually. It was his pursuit of happiness that put him on the path to purpose. It was eventually on that path where he stumbled upon happiness after having given up on it.The Happiness Happens ebook and paperback are available for purchase now, but, if you love a beautiful hardcover like I do, that will be available here in the U.S. on May 19, 2026. Check out my instagram post for this episode to see just how gorgeous it is.  To connect with Robin: https://peepalfarm.org/Peepal Farmhttps://instagram.com/peepalfarmRobinhttps://instagram.com/locaterobinTo buy the book, Happiness Happens: https://a.co/d/007JJtajMentioned in this episode:India: Land of Ahimsa documentary: https://www.indiegogo.com/en/projects/mayur75/the-land-of-ahimsa-feature-length-documentaryTo connect with me:Follow me on Facebook and Instagram @didyoubringthehummusDYBTH merch now available! Episode 125 - Vystopia with Clare Mann

It's Season 7! Holy wow! I'm trying something new with the podcast this season, please let me know what you think!!Today, I am joined by Clare Mann, the vegan psychologist who coined the term Vystopia and wrote the book by the same name. We dig into what Vystopia means, how we can care for ourselves despite it, and how we can continue to inspire those around us to make compassionate choices.Clare's bio: Clare Mann is a vegan psychologist, communications skills trainer and the author of several books, including Vystopia: The Anguish of Being Vegan in a Non Vegan World. She became vegan nearly two decades years ago, after realizing 30 years of vegetarianism was totally inadequate if she wanted to do everything possible to not use or exploit animals. The skills she acquired through a successful career as an organizational psychologist, university lecturer and speaker, are now applied to help vegans become confident, hopeful vegan conversationalists who are ushering in a kinder vegan world.Having lived with the Burden of Knowing vegans are so familiar with, Clare challenged the medical world that diminishes the vegan’s anguish as unnecessary. She therefore coined the phrase Vystopia and now helps individual vegans, coaches, therapists and animal protection agencies all over the world develop powerful ways to become influential vegan change makers. To connect with Clare:https://veganpsychologist.comhttps://vystopia.comTo join the waitlist for Clare's next masterclass: https://veganpsychologist.com/master-class-register/To connect with me: Follow me on Facebook and Instagram @didyoubringthehummusDYBTH merch now available!
