120: Results of My Carnivorish Diet Experiment
I recently tried a Carnivorish Diet to see if it would improve my thyroid antibodies. Spoiler alert: it did not, but it did improve some other markers including my TSH and T4*. There were some ups and downs along the way and I’m sharing it all in this week’s podcast. On the whole, it was a powerful experience and I don’t for a second regret doing this experiment. Listen in to hear the details about my follow-up blood test, weight loss, digestive issues, reduced sugar cravings and discipline growth! *P.S. I got sidetracked and forgot to mention the thyroid improvements in the podcast even though I did talk about the antibodies and other markers. For more information and to access the show notes for this episode, visit my website here: https://www.thechristiannutritionist.com/podcast/120

119: Seasonal Plant Cycling
Having access to all plant foods, all the time is a new phenomena. For most of history, people ate what grew regionally and seasonally. This means they ate a lot of the same foods over and over because that’s what was available. We’ve lost touch with seasonal eating and, yet, God designed our bodies to work in sync with the cyclical offerings of nature. Tune in to this week’s podcast for new perspective on an old custom and why less variety, but more seasonality, may be a better plant goal. 118: Solar Syncing for Metabolism and Good Health
Genesis 1:4 tells us that God created the sun and the moon as markers of time. We know that He created our bodies to work according to these daily and seasonal cycles of light and darkness which is called our circadian rhythm. That includes things like getting regular sun exposure, eating more carbs in the summer and fasting longer in the winter. We are in our best health when aligned in our circadian rhythm and the sunlight is the biggest contributor to this balance. Listen to this week’s podcast to learn all about solar syncing and how God made our bodies to use sunshine as a healing therapy.
