Today I chat to Fred Schebesta, who started Finder, one of Australia's largest comparison sites. Finder was started after 39 previous business attempts and failures. It was first built in the living room of Fred and his business partner Frank in their share house in 2006, and it's worth over half a billion dollars! I've known Fred for a long time and he is literally one of the smartest people I know and it was seriously such a fun chat, we did go on some tangents, but I felt I learnt a lot! As with all episodes, we talk about the startup journey and business challenges, but we also tapped into Fred's new business chapter into crypto. This glow mist now sells one every minute globally! In its height, Kikki K grew to 120 stores across 6 countries. This much loved brand however later faced hardships and to close down some of its stores and fell into voluntary administration at the start of Covid. 17 months later it happened again as the business again went into voluntary administration.
