Breaking Goodman S02E09: Everybody Loses
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Season 2 Episode 9 of Better Call Saul titled “Nail”. In this, the penultimate episode, everyone loses. Plain and simple. EVERYONE loses. There is very little sunlight shining through in this episode and hard to see any on the horizon. As we discuss even the smallest of actions has huge consequences as dominoes fall in this “bloody 9th”. Just one more episode in the season!

Breaking Goodman S02E08: Copy & Paste
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Season 2 Episode 8 of Better Call Saul titled “Fifi”. Lots of build up in this episode. So much tension throughout, particularly in the Mike side of things. It doesn’t seem like things are going to end up in a good spot for anyone. Anyone at all. Typically episode 9 is the big one, so this next episode should have some explosions. We go to the mailroom as well as connect with some tweets. We also announce our April contest winner!

Breaking Goodman S02E07: From Sandpiper to Bagpiper
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Better Call Saul season 2 episode 7 entitled “Inflatable”. Another good one for the show that gets us even closer to Jimmy becoming Saul Goodman. Still walking the line between wolf and sheep, but getting more colorful as he goes. Thanks to Sam Russell, Brian Craig and Michael Henley for the chat. Last few days of our Rate & Review contest! Go to iTunes, rate & review the podcast and be entered to win a Better Call Saul t-shirt.

Breaking Goodman S02E06: Twin Freaks
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Season 2 Episode 6 of Better Call Saul entitled “Bali Hai”. Another good episode with Mike’s story line delivering most of the heavy stuff. We got some more Hector and even a couple more guest stars from the world of Breaking Bad. This show just keeps delivering. Thanks to Michael Henley and Brian Craig for the chat.

Breaking Goodman S02E05: Ding Ding
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers season two episode five of Better Call Saul titled “Rebecca”. We got a little flashback into Chuck’s life, saw Kim try to dig herself out of the trouble Jimmy got her into, Jimmy deal with an office babysitter, and Mike see that maybe he didn’t fully think things through when he gets a surprise visit (and so do we!). Thanks to Brian, Mike and Sam for the chat. Still time to rate/review the podcast on iTunes and be entered to win a Better Call Saul shirt. You want a $5 for Amazon? Breaking Goodman S02E04: Tuco Tuesdays
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Season 2 Episode 4 of Better Call Saul entitled “Gloves Off”. Not a lot of fun moments this episode. We saw the collateral damage Jimmy’s behavior caused with Howard, Chuck, Davis & Maine and of course Kim. And we saw Mike do what he does best- anticipate responses to plan the best move. Great episode yet again. Thanks to Mike Henley, Brian Craig and Samantha Russell for the chat. You want a $5 for Amazon? Breaking Goodman S02E03: Ice Station Zebra
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Better Call Saul Season 2 Episode 3 titled “Amarillo”. Anyone who listens know the use of color comes up a lot in this podcast. Blue is ok. Yellow is somewhat morally ambiguous. Red is just bad. One thing we didn’t talk about last night is the title. Amarillo. Setting up the podcast for posting today my high school Spanish kicked in and reminded me that Amarillo means yellow. And what was going on in that opening scene in Texas was definitely morally and legally ambiguous. So how about that. Great episode that set up a lot of pieces that will probably fall in coming weeks. Thanks to Brian Craig, Samantha Russell and Michael Henley for the chat.

Breaking Goodman S02E02: Sit and Wriggle
This episode of Breaking Goodman covers Season 2 Episode 2 of Better Call Saul entitled “Cobbler”. Just like last week the title of the episode had a meaning revealed in the last couple of scenes. Is that our “O” pattern this year? Probably not. One pattern we do have is that this show is just so damn good each week. This week we got some Chuck, Kim saw a darker (but truer) side of Jimmy, and we got lots of Chicago Sun Room type sayings. Thanks to Brian Craig, Samantha Russell and Michael Henley for the chat.

Breaking Goodman S02E01: Ken Loses
Better Call Saul is back! The show that everyone was nervous would stink before it premiered last year has become one of the most highly anticipated returns of the year. This episode covers the season 2 premiere entitled “Switch”. We saw lots of faces from the first season with a notable exception of Chuck. Given the events last season this can be understood. Overall a really great first episodes that lays a good amount of groundwork.

Breaking Goodman S01E10: It’s All Good, Man.
This episode of Breaking Goodman talks about Season 1 Episode 10 of Better Call Saul entitled “Marco”. We have reached the end of the much hyped and expectation passing first season of Better Call Saul. The finale was a bit of a come down after last week, but this sets up the beginning of the guy we know from Breaking Bad. We have the beginnings of Saul Goodman. This season, in itself, has been a great origin story for the character. Whether you watched Breaking Bad or not I have to think that this was a good story for everyone. Though as we’ve said many times on the podcast, if you didn’t watch Breaking Bad- go and do that. Until you do… you’re kind of a weirdo.
I’d like to do an off season episode or two, but for the most part this is it for a year or so. I hope to have everyone back that did this season as well as finally get you Mr. Kettleman’s name. And Ned’s notes. Thanks to him, Mike Henley, Samantha Russell Craig and Brian Craig for making this a really fun show to not just watch, but also discuss. Thanks again to Chris Calletta for the graphics. And thanks to AudibleTrial.com/StarkRavenMad where you can go to register for a FREE trial of the Audible service, which also gets this podcast a few bucks.
Speaking of Stark Raven Mad: A Game of Thrones Podcast– we are BACK next week! So if you watch Game of Thrones and want to listen to some people not just analyze the show with good detail, but also crack you up while doing it- then be sure to listen, rate and review on iTunes.
