"In poultry, plasma carotenoids are key biomarkers for studying coccidiosis, a common veterinary concern. Our research revealed that carotenoid levels significantly decline up to eight days before clinical signs of coccidiosis appear, indicating their importance in monitoring gut health."

Meet the guest: Montana Oubre's journey started with a childhood interest in chickens, which flourished during his elementary school years. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology at Nicholls State University, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Louisiana State University. Currently, he serves as a Technical Services Manager at dsm-firmenich.
