Specifically, there’s been a number of controversies recently that make it, and this is like, civilizationally changing in terms of society. We live in a world today where if you’re talking about young women, 8% of young women in the United States get an income from OnlyFans. You know, like have an OnlyFans account.

So about one in, one in 10 people you see, just walking around has an OnlyFans account, right?

Simone Collins: Like beats door dashing. I mean, yeah, I, I think most men would be doing this if they could.

Malcolm Collins: Yeah. Yeah. Would I do in OnlyFans if I could? I mean, I guess, not, not at this age, not at this like, level of public profile, but like, when I was younger I would have you know, so money,

Simone Collins: money, dude. I mean, well, and when you, when people consider and they’re like, well, the, the indignity, the humiliation. [00:01:00] Have you looked at so many jobs, you know, have, have you considered working for the DMV?

Like the things that people go through in respectable jobs? It it, but what they’re subject, look at what people are shouting at ICE agents, people who work for the US government. They’re taking out their seasonal depression disorder or whatever, seasonal affective disorder on these, these poor people like, no, of course you wanna be on OnlyFans.

OnlyFans is, people are nice to you there. Okay. They may be asking you to take your shirt off, but they’re nice about it, you know? I mean it, they’re not

They’re like, this is horrible. So Elon’s like, okay, okay. Okay. I’ll put it behind a paywall. Um, God bless. I just, I love him. That’s fantastic. The way he handles things. ‘cause what a sad world if he had taken that away. I’ve actually never done it yet. I, I should do that. I wanna see how good it actually is.

Who has like, center right opinions about like, you know, preserving British culture and stuff like that is painted as a villain.

Like, you don’t need to be the you know, overly dressed up traditional trad wife. I mean, look at my, my wife for example. She dresses like a. I, I don’t know a medieval woman that, that’s core lesbian. I do not think any cottage court lesbian dresses like that. You dress up much more like I, I read a lot of mahas, which, which take place.

But what we’ll get to this separate episode. Yeah. The point I’m making here, and I, I actually think this is a really interesting thing to die into because the left is, is freaking out about this. A lot of sex workers are freaking out about this. Because you can create and there’s like, already sex workers with one particular instance that I found really interesting one SMEC worker she created, she moved from her real body and she was not like, unattractive or anything to completely AI generated stuff.

And she said she saw a four x increase in revenue.

Simone Collins: So we’re, well, she could probably increase her output significantly. And also like the images. That you make of yourself that are AI just look better. Like they’re, they’re just more flattering versions of you.

Malcolm Collins: Well, and a lot of people can’t tell. And the big problem is that people think they can tell.

And we’re now in a situation where and, and people will be like, well, it’s not as high quality and

Malcolm Collins: Okay, so I’ll keep going. So. Plug a lot. People say, well, there’s always gonna

be

room for people who are like higher touch and putting in more effort and putting in, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Malcolm Collins: So some people are gonna say that there’s always gonna be room for people who are higher touch and putting in more effort and for that personalized experience, right? Oh, sure. Yeah. Even if ai. I’d argue that’s probably not the case. And what I’d argue to point this out is a, a-list piece is that she did ages ago.

That was just absolutely fascinating. We actually have an episode on this piece, and I think it’s one of our more interesting episodes where she wrote a piece where she decided to subscribe to one of the really high end account

understand how they were making money. Oh, actually, I’ll say that differently.

One of the high-end moan accounts to try to decide how they’re making money and or figure it out. And, and so she tried to get like the experience of, of, [00:07:00] you know, a guy on that. Like what is it, like, how are they milking them, et cetera. Yeah. And she noticed that one thing that they would do at Zig would send something to a guy and be like, I’m feeling horny now.

Or something like that. Right. You know, or I’m looking to do X now. And it would be a really. Obvious like setup, right? Like

Simone Collins: Yeah. Yeah.

Malcolm Collins: Nobody would believe that. This is just like somebody around the house. Yeah. They’re like in like a Santa costume or something and like Yeah, and like a

Simone Collins: Clearly it was a set Yeah.

Malcolm Collins: But, but it created like a, a perception or illusion for the guy. That like this is just for them, but like she, like anyone would know that this wasn’t just for them.

Simone Collins: Yeah. They’re working real hard on that suspension of disability. They

Malcolm Collins: charge you like really small amounts for individual pieces of content until you get to the last piece of content and that’s like the, the orgasm scene or something like that.

And then, and then she’s, and then [00:08:00] they charge like quite a bit for that, like $20 or something or like $50 or something. I guess ‘cause it’s like, well now, now you’ve, you’ve sunk costs. Like you’re already in this deep, right? Yeah. You’re at the end. Yeah. Right. You’re already turned on. You know, you gotta go through to the very, I I thought it was, but what she pointed out is that, and this really got hurt.

And this is why I love how autistic ALA is, is she’s like, the, the sun didn’t even match the time of day when I was getting these. Right. She’s like, it made no sense. It was very obviously all prerecorded. Yeah. But I think what she uncovered while she was doing this right is that. And this is what always gets me about Ailey.

She always expects the world to just be like rational. Like she tries to hang out in left wing spaces and is like, well, I’m just saying what’s true about trans people? Why am I being attacked? Yeah. Like, we all know this, don’t we? But anyway so he pointed out that actually if you look at the really high earners on a lot of these platforms, they are giving an almost, I don’t wanna [00:09:00] say intentionally, but really aggressively unpersonalized un high-touch experience for individuals.

Simone Collins: Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Mm-hmm.

Malcolm Collins: And we need to think about when people are like, oh, nobody would use. Fake women for this. And keep in mind, even if you’re like, oh, I can tell today when something’s AI maybe

You, you, you can only see it when it’s bad AI and you don’t know all the time, but you’re not, you’re not gonna know

Malcolm Collins: in five years. You’re not gonna know in 10 years. Okay. Like, get with it buddy. You, you, you know this as well as I do, right? Mm-hmm. And so we’re, we’re entering a world where oh, sorry. I was gonna say, and so what is.

You know, people say, well, people will only really ever want to get off to real women. Right. That’s, that’s the response here and I wanna talk about,

Simone Collins: which is weird because hentai as a genre would not exist if there wasn’t a big audience of people that was actively turned off by live action neurotic material.

Malcolm Collins: Yeah. I, well, I, I wanna, I want to talk about that. I [00:10:00] wanna talk about, because clearly there’s still a audience for live action. And the reason I have to go into a-list stuff to find out what OnlyFans is, is ‘cause I just have no interest in something like that. I, I can’t even imagine wanting to like, get any sort of like, emotional investment in something that is for turning you on.

Simone Collins: for me, it’s not just that, it’s also that I would have. To pay for it, and I’ve wanted to for a long time do an episode on like, is there an OnlyFans experience for women? Like if I signed on with a female account as a consumer, what would I find? I’m very curious. But I just like, I’m like, oh God, I don’t, I don’t want to, that’s a problem.

Well, I, we’ll, we’ll think about that for a second as well, but the, the, what I was moving to here, and we’ll talk about this later, is how much this actually disempowers women in society. But before we get to that, I wanted to come to the point about arousal and people saying, oh, nobody would use, you know, fake pictures of women and stuff like that.

Hmm. I actually think that using fake pictures of women is [00:11:00] going to, hugely jump in, in, in favor to, I think be the dominant form of live action porn. And I will explain why for a few reasons. So first of all, keep in mind if you are a person who is using pornography, right? Mm-hmm. You are already like that entire system.

It like, why does it feel good? Why do the things that arouse you feel good, right? Like, they feel good because they helped your ancestors reproduce. All of those systems are designed to get you to reproduce, right? Mm-hmm. To get you to secure a partner and then do the thing that causes that partner to make babies that carry your genes to the next generation and your culture to the next generation.

And, and, and, and you might have some cultural adaptations, like, oh, well you, you should have some resistance against pornography. ‘cause that doesn’t actually help. Right. But the point here being is you you are already subverting the entire system by being online and using corn, [00:12:00] right? Mm-hmm. Right.

Like you, you are already subverting everything here. So if you’re already subverting the entire arousal systems intentionality, why is the additional layer of subversion so bad? Right. The, the second thing is, is if you consider that the way AI works, and keep in mind AI gets better constantly. Right? Like you can’t easily do this with AI now, but I think it’s very obvious that we will soon be in a world where you can do this with ai Yeah.

Is that you are gonna be able to request the scenarios that you want exactly what you want. Like whatever turns you on most, you’re gonna be able to ask for a video of that thing. Yeah. And that will be delivered to you, that highly

Simone Collins: targeted experience. Yeah. Course people are gonna want that. And don’t forget, even if, let’s say on average you have a website or something, you’re trying to monetize a video and one was live action and one was AI generated, let’s say the live action one, you [00:13:00] know, generates like, or it, it converts 50 or even 100% better.

It is still, it costs so much more to make the production, the crew, the set, and keep in mind that if you’re filming this stuff in the United States, you have to get the the STD testing, you have to get the consent forms. There are lawyers involved, there are culture, like, there’s just so much bloat and additional cost that even if it performs maybe even up to like 10 times better in terms of clickthroughs and paying, like to actually get that to still.

Present a positive ROI. It’s not worth it. You’re still gonna make more money off of the AI ones. You’re just not bother to make. Well,

Malcolm Collins: and, and the next thing to note here is if people are like, well, at the very least there will always be a market for like in-person real sex. Right. And to which I point out, first of all, that’s illegal in most places.

So it’s, it’s, it’s a harder market to do [00:14:00] regardless. Yeah. Although more and more people, I think have been finding like online ways to do that. But the, the bigger challenge with that is that. If you look at younger generations, all of the trends that I’m seeing would indicate that they desire this dramatically less than older generations.

Yeah. And you have a number of compounding variables that are, that are causing this basically sex cliff. You don’t just have the, the amount of sex that they’re having dropping off a cliff ‘cause that is happening, but it’s, it’s the amount of all vices that they’re engaging in. The amount of alcohol young people consume is dramatically lower.

Than previous generations. Oh, yeah, yeah. The amount of, of, of just most vices is way down. Mm-hmm. And, and, and I think it’s just because they, they, we grew up in an era where that stuff was genuinely lauded like that in the, in the TV shows that was like labeled as cool. That is what cool kids do, right?

Like, and I know it’s what cool kids do because Dare told me not to do it right the same way. Dare told me not to be a racist these days. And so [00:15:00] now all the young cool kids are going out there trying to be like, performatively racist, right? Like, so, you and, and, and adults are like, go out there and sleep with everyone.

Like your parents said to you growing up, you know, they’re like, go, go party, go out, do stuff. And you’re like, I don’t wanna, I wanna stay in, I wanna work. But so young kids. Or where were they going with this? They’re not, they’re not consuming this stuff anymore, and it’s likely a trend that’s gonna continue.

I, I’d be very surprised if we saw it move in the other direction again after this, right? Like, I, every, everybody gets that. But, but you’ve also got to drop in testosterone in younger males which, you know, causes them to want to go out and consume these types of content, right? Mm-hmm. So that’s also.

Like lowering. You then have, as Simone talked about, you know, you already have drawn alternatives to a lot of pornography right now. Right? Like, or, or a lot of Chrome right now. That, that are very popular online. However, I do not think that like those are as relevant in this discussion [00:16:00] outside of all of the furry artists that are gonna lose their job.

And those furry artists are big, mad, like if you look at like their community, they’re one of the angriest communities about AI generated content. Because so many people in that community made money by creating, you know, smut basically. There’s been a lot of people who created like this, this, this stuff.

Well, yeah, and

Simone Collins: specifically because. The people who consumed it really just, there was no other place where you could get it from these specialized people because your average artist would never, ever draw that. There are no photos of this ‘cause it can’t happen. Like a lot of these are for arousal pathways that are extremely like

Malcolm Collins: Yeah. Yeah. Paraphilias as they call them or whatever. Yeah. You know, like very unusual arousal pathways that are not things that you like in real life. You can’t be a, I mean, and this is the thing, like some people can dress up as a fox and I, I guess that’s enough for them, but I suspect for a lot of people was that kind of arousal pathway or something like that.

They don’t actually feel enough like [00:17:00] whatever it is that they’re trying to mimic by wearing a, a big, ridiculous costume. Yeah. For that to actually effectively engage that particular arousal pathway.

So they’re kind of like, the culture is there, the, the precedent is there. So chat apps work really, really well for furry culture because furry culture has been working with text-based role play for a super long time, if that makes sense.

Malcolm Collins: But yeah. I’ve a bunch of effective altruists from XI think. I think I know why it smelled that way. But no, the point here being is this, in terms of society, I think for a long time women have had this enormous amount of power over men today. The, to the point where like the idea of a fem cell, people were like, that’s not even like a thing like.

A female who desires sexual access, she just needs to lower her standards, right? Like she can get sexual access. She just needs to lower her standards, right? What she means to say is, I can’t get sexual access with my preferred partner type of, and that’s most living people on earth. That is not you.

You’re just more stubborn than other people. Mm-hmm. But the, the for men, when they say it, they mean, I, I can’t get [00:23:00] sexual access at all. Right. If we’re entering a world and, and, and women use that, they use that to get favors for men. They use that to, to get all sorts of things for men. And as erotic material became more common that really broke a lot of the power that women had in society.

If you look at the people who advocate against that stuff. The hardest. It’s usually women and it’s usually women who are losing power as a result of that. But as we enter a world where if somebody has a photograph of you, they have a photograph that they can make a naked photograph of you. Yeah. Which is just.

True going forwards. And then they can, and I thought that South Park did a very good job of this where they show the kids in school and the kids are like even, even before like, you know, this is sexualized or anything, they’re like, oh I took a picture of Kyle and then I made like Mickey Mouse pooping in his mouth or something.

It’s like a video. It’s like, you know, a humiliation thing for other kids.

But I wanna hear your thoughts, Simone, more broadly. How do you think this changes society as sex work becomes increasingly unviable for women? How do you think this true? Because all women have sort of had like a card, an advantage in society, which was. Their body, their sexual access, the woman card.

We, especially given our advocacy and that shows up in the polling data. And when you look at pulling data in terms of values in life and what men and women want that are quite different is children, men want children and.

There are two really big things that are gonna happen with the rise of ai. It one, I think, and I’m not the only one to predict this, men are going to disproportionately benefit in the job market because they’re more willing to do risky, unknown independent things, which is really kind of what you’re gonna need to succeed in a post AI world, either by like going into the trades or by starting AI based.

Startups on your own, building your own solutions and like big bureaucracies and corporations are just going to have fewer available roles. And that’s what historically women who entered the workforce have really [00:26:00] excelled at dominating. So there’s gonna be an increasing number of women who are going to discover that, okay, well one, it’s a lot harder for me to find a job that is easy and comfortable for me.

And oh, I can’t go into. OF work or something similar because now AI is such a strong alternative for men who are interested in something like that. And so what I’ll think a lot of women are going to do is choose to become like wives. Their career is going to be, I’m going to become a wife. And the arbitrage opportunity is if you are a woman who is willing to marry and raise children for a man because men are still very interested in having children.

And certainly not disinterested. I think from having wives and families then they will have their career and their advantage. So I think what ultimately is going to happen is something quite wholesome, is that women discovering that. One, the state can’t basically take care of them anymore As demographic play collapse plays out and states just literally can’t afford the social [00:27:00] services that have been supporting single women historically.

And two, they discover they can’t really get jobs. They’re gonna turn once again to homemaking as a career.

Malcolm Collins: But there’s not gonna be, I mean, if that happens, yeah. What I suspect will also become normalized is having lots of wives, because not all men are gonna have the money to support that. Right. So, well,

Simone Collins: wouldn’t I think are gonna be pretty okay with that?

I mean, in, in the past it, it, it isn’t, I, there’s a very established historical precedent for that being common. Either out in the open or just barely beneath the surface. So I wouldn’t be shocked at all if that were the case.

Malcolm Collins: I also would not be shocked if right-wing communities adopted that more. The, the, the, the, the, we go into the, the sort of biblical arguments around it in the episode, how Romans made the Jews monogamous.

Where we point out that there, there are. Some lines in the Bible that could be used to argue for monogamy. But, but [00:28:00] there are only some, and most of them have wiggle outs here or there with a lot of cases in the Bible of people having multiple wives. Mm-hmm. And, and so we go over how that norm became a norm within Christianity.

But the point being is there’s a reason why most sort of extreme Christian factions always end up becoming polygamous or something like that. Just because it’s, it’s not that hard to argue out of it. From a, a biblical perspective, so you could even see it within more conservative communities. I

And I, I think you, you, you kind of predicted how this would play out, which is that a lot of the people who are making money. On the images of their bodies are like, they’re the ones using this. They’re the ones like, this is fantastic now. 100% there are women online and plenty of cases after this whole GR thing happened, who are deeply disturbed by the images that have been created of them.

And there are also plenty of cases of women who do make money from nudes of themselves online who are very angry about the fact that other people are now making money off of nudes of them online. And there’s this question of like. Your personal IP and all of that. And I don’t know. I mean, I just, I just think it’s one of those things like with, with [00:38:00] de beers and diamonds, right?

Like we historically have had a monopoly over our likeness and we’ve been able to gate access to that. And AI has created the world of synthetic diamonds. Now anyone can create. Your likeness. And the more public you are, the less control you’ll have over that because there will be better training material to do that.

And you just have to let it go. You, you can’t. You can’t stop, like trying to stop it, I think is an exercise in frustration. If you are someone who made money by selling erotic likeness of yourself online, either figure out how to be better at selling AI versions of that than the other guys who are doing it with your, your own, like I IP or change jobs.

So anything that’s removing you from the future. Forces that drive you towards that.
