A Technology Cold War is Raging: What are the Costs and Risks for Companies and Countries?

Trade barriers are raising all over the world and countries are revamping their industrial policies a technological cold war between the United States and China ramps up. Unlike the cold war with the Soviets, this time tens of thousands of American businesses operate within China and supply chains for products of everything from cell phones to microwaves run through China. To determine the extent of the policy changes associated with this cold war and what it means for American business, DSR Host David Rothkopf spoke with Bob LaRussa of Shearman & Sterling, David Sanger of the New York Times, and Pari Esfandiari of the Global TechnoPolitics Forum for the second session of our interactive virtual event series Beltway Black Box.
