Strong equity rally on a positive US jobs report and China reopening

Stocks in the US and Asia are up this morning on the heels of what some called a ‘goldilocks’ US jobs report, showing a somewhat less tight labour market and lower-than-expected wage growth, and the on-going China reopening. Richard Tang, our Head of Research in Hong Kong, sets the rally in Asia in perspective and Mensur Pocinci, our Head of Technical Analysis, explains why he believes that investors are well advised to rebalance stock portfolios, considering investments in Asia and Europe too over the coming months.
