In this episode, we discuss the pros and cons of owning student rentals. This is a question that's come in from a fellow listener of the podcast.
Throughout the show we share the three different types of student rentals:
- Standard student flats, which tend to be higher-yielding, but much higher maintenance
- Purpose-built room by room rentals, which are higher-yielding, but get lower capital growth since they are an investor specific product
- Student apartments (standard apartments) which tend to be between the two of them
