The Fifth Column (private feed for bitterone31droid@googlemail.com) Special Dispatch #71 - Stop Making Sense: TFC Live in Miami (Vol I)
It's the early show. They shake off the brutal hangovers. They get into the groove. And to quote MC5, right now...right now...it's time to...kick out the jams, mother[*****************].
Alongside best-selling author, legendary columnist, and all-around great guy Dave Barry, the Fifth declares the pandemic over and does its first live show since that virus probably escaped from that lab that might have been in China. No need for the usual bullet points, but expect to hear Kmele showing the audience his newly detailed old sneakers, for some reason. Just picture it. Moynihan feels sick, but soldiers on (because someone gives him $100). Matt probably talks about Eastern Europe. And members of the Fifdom hop on stage to ask questions, ramble, celebrate, and occasionally take their shirts off. Just don't picture it. (Editor's note: Indeed. It was a man. And be thankful that this is audio-only)
Stay tuned for Volume II--the late show--where the audience drowns itself in bottles of cheap wine and Nick Gillespie, the Philip Michael Thomas of Reason magazine, turns in a Tony-worthy performance.
