This was also reflected in US and European equities, which were little changed on the day. The USD gained on strong employment figures and safe-haven demand. OpenAI raised USD 6.6 billion in funding, valuing the company at USD 157 billion, and Nvidia shares rose after hours on strong demand for its chips. In Japan, stocks are higher on a weaker JPY following comments from the new prime minister.
