I think that pinning the market sideways is letting them off the hook too much. It has never been better for a retail trader to go and to beat the professionals. Retail traders can play their own playbook against what they want, not some arbitrary benchmark. Do you have any intuition about the percentage of traders who would survive over long periods of time?
