The Importance of Adapting to Your Training History

Gaining more muscle means it's more aerobically costly so it's going to be harder for your body to do the same work. The biggest thing though is that as you develop more muscle tissue you also have to develop that muscle tissue to be moreaerobically capable and that comes with training over time. Sometimes moving forward in two things at once means holding the current position of one as you increase the other, then letting the other rise back up to catch it or kind of let it slowly build as you work  and focus on the other ones.
