I would never again start a book cynically, because i'll only do it if i really care about getting that idea out into the world. And ideally, also, i care about the readers receiving that value. I tried to pull anecdotes and examples from all three of those worlds. The university professors just didn't even bother yelling at me,. Like, they just stopped reading wheres the school teachers were were furious. That was something tha, like, i never would have gotten that in any number of revisions.
