The Importance of Proper Sleep
The body wants to make sure we survive. That's all it's interested in. So one of the things, if we're not getting enough sleep, we're not conserving that energy that we are trying to conserve. One of the reasons we sleep is energy conservation as well. If day after day after day,. we're not sleeping well, the end result is a disaster really. It does all sorts of tricks to us. It decreases our metabolic rate. It increases our feelings of hunger. But it's doing what it thinks it should do - but it's not good. The correct amount of sleep or healthy quality sleep rebalances are insulin response. Those hormones I was just describing
