We're a very weird creature that we become completely defenseless and powerless for a third of every single day. So because we are so defenseless, then clearly it must be a vital thing that we're doing when we're sleeping. What things are being released in our bodies that give us that feeling of, I'm rested or what's happening inside us? Why is it so vital for our health? We actually understand that there's a connection, but we don't think too much about it.
