For you to add value personally I think that there has to be a level of vulnerability. Self-deprecation is one of the biggest weapons I'll use on stage and is self- deprecation. It does relax in audience because suddenly they're not thinking that listen to some know it all on stage it's a human being just sharing sharing the story.
