I wanted to create a really rich terrain system in Brog. And one of the ways that I came up with to do that was to create these rooms where pieces kind of mechanically interlock, more than just individual tiles. So you can either try to become immune to fire if you have the right kind of item, or you can try to like dart into a patch that's already burned out as long as there's a clear path to it. It's kind of this weird like mini game of cellular automata, but it's joined together by a system that allows terrain to kind of interact with other terrain so the fire can kind of spread and spot around and turn into embers and then
