How long does a dopamine fast take to reset our reward system? I think it really depends on whether or not you are truly addicted to that substance or behavior. If you're really addicted, then in my experience, a month is kind of bare minimum. But if it's not a full blown, not yet a full blown addiction and just kind of a bad habit or a compulsive overuse... It could be shorter than a month. You know, it could be,. it could be a week. The exercise of even 24 hours or something sort of like physiologically miraculous about 24 hours. There's something really interesting about a 24 hour period of basically abstinence or changing that behavior.
