The Importance of Having an Audience

When I was very little, the house I grew up in, we had a pantry that we didn't use for food. Instead, my mom put a chair in there and kind of used it as a drawing table. So I would sit in this little closet basically and draw. And that was, I just remember that space very clearly as sort of this private little area where, you know, the only thing happening was what was happening on this piece of paper in front of me. But then I also totally crave it going out there and touching people in their own little wombs and whatever relationship they have. It has to go out, it has to get out there.
