Early stage founders often set their v p sails up to fail. They just hear, like, insert this guy or gal's name is a great salesleader and that's all they hear. I can't sayh t that's always the wrong choice. But i see a lot people who just, they say, oh, sales v ps, average tenures, 16 months. Lot of em their average tenure should be less than that because they don't really know how to work cross functionally. The knw ow to make sales in building huge revenue teams are two entirely different skill sets.
