The Role of Exercise in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Disease Prevention
This is finally starting to see what the literature has been supporting for a while now, and it is ok for us to be challenging our older adults. So they talk about meeting for resistance training to three sets, eight to ten repetition, six to eight big muscle groups, 50 jumps per session for high impact. And for balance, they talk about using balance training as well, two to three repetitions of five to ten different static and dynamic balance postures. The intensity for the balance training is to practise the most difficult balance posture not yet mastered. They're speaking my love language.
