The Wave and the Ocean and Everything That Is
The wave is a perfect illustration of dependent co-arising or interbeing, as Tignat Han used to call it. It's an illustration of impermanence because the wave is in constant motion and it pops its little head up and thinks, whoa, look at me, I'm really something,. But that doesn't last. Everything on earth, everything that is, is like that. And we're all time beings in that regard.
