The journey of the story starts when that character encounters a problem. Companies tend to sell solutions to external problems, but customers buy solution to internal problems. If you haven't clearly defined the problem that you solve, they're gong to throw that business card away and won't call you again. The only reason people are calling you is because they need to solve that problem.
