Bala is a new brand of bangels, designed to be worn on the wrist and ankles. The idea came from an eighties product that people stopped using because they weren't all that good. They were neoprine, so they would absorb sweat but also smell bad. So how do you pitch in 30 seconds this idea to a different generation? It's a really good question. I think the way we talk about bala and the bangels in particular is that we've brought design to this otherwise utilitarian space,. whilst making meaningful functional improvements.
