The Effects of Genetic Polymorphisms on Cholesterol Recirculation
Phytosterol is the sterile or cholesterol equivalent from a plant. It's been largely known that if you take high doses of phytosterols, you can actually lower your cholesterol. Some percentage of us roughly maybe 28% have an HLADR genetic polymorphisms where we more effectively recirculate our bile and thus our cholesterol. Those are the people who are more susceptible to lipophoric toxins. These are basically toxins that dissolve into fatty stuff in the body and get recirculated in the nervous system. The problem is they turn out to be more atherogenic than cholesterol.
