The Benefits of Using Patients Like Me
Patients like me started a number of years ago when a guy named Stephen Heywood had ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It was initially a website for people with ALS to share their experiences and basically their experiments on themselves. And gradually that expanded into other diseases like multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. But the basic premise is it's a place where patients can get social support today for what they're going through.
