The Primary Energy Subsrate for Anarobic Muscle Activity Lasting Less Than Ten Seconds
The primary energy substrate for anarobic muscle activity lasting less than ten seconds is egh t p and creatine phosphate. During strictly arobic activities lasting greater than four minutes, glacogen and fatty acids are the preferred substrait staren at all. Arobic respiration is significantly more effective at releasing energy than anarobic respiration. This is due to the arobic processes being able to extract most of the glucose molecules energy in the form of a t p. Conversely, anarobic processes leave most of the a t p generating sources in waste products.
