Influencing Yourself Through Persuasion

I've been part of an organization where they never ask for input because they don't really want input. I think in that sense people are influencing themselves by changing the way they look at the world. If you're trying to persuade yourself of something, when I read that whole chapter back years ago on commitment and you talked about how you can get others to commit to certain course of action, I realized, well, I do that myself all the time. You have the two people, you have the persuader self and the persuaded self.
