persuasion seems to be a universal human operating technique, operating procedure. The best evidence I know for this, that it's built into us from birth. There was a study done in Belgium. Researchers brought subjects into an experimental situation and they showed them photographs with figures standing in the background. One third of the subjects saw figures standing alone by themselves. Others saw pictures of two figures standing apart, separate from one another.
