The Fear of High Expenses for Law Firms

I've often told audiences that for most of the last decade we were kind of playing between the 40s you know plus or minus 1 percent was pretty common so to be back in in that territory at negative 0.1 is a real shock. Firm leaders are beginning to think seriously about what do I do if demand keeps on at sort of a very tepid level of demand growth and I'm stuck with these high expenses. So I think there's a kind of fear factor that's beginning to set in about that that's making people feel uneasy about it.
