The Power of Assumptions in Game Design
The idea is to outline every possible assumption that you can about the project as we know it. At the beginning of the process they're very fuzzy broad like I think it'd be kind of fun if there was a deck building game where you attacked your opponents and had some kind of way to level up. The different audiences and types of people that you think are going to enjoy this will vary from player to player, depending on what type of game you have in mind. It's really just refined over the last couple years so I've been great at having more projects to work on knowing there's always an opportunity for improvement.
