The Role of VP of User Experience

The VPs of user experience or even occasionally the chief experience officer title is increasingly common in the US at least. It could be somebody in a small company with a team of just a handful of people, it could be a larger company with hundreds of people on the user experience team. The title really tends to be aimed at ensuring that good design is happening on individual projects. But more importantly, that design is getting instituted into the culture and processes or the organization so that it really becomes part of the fabric of the organization.
