Urban Repurposing
I grew up in boston, so i'd take the train and i got got apania hall. He was an interesting architect and planner who wrote a book called a pattern language. And he really thought about urban spaces as a series of vignettes or patterns that get put together into a language. A lot of his thinking was picked up by sophoware engineers in silicon valley in the seventies and eighties. So there's an interesting tie in between what's happening with our perception of erband spaces and how things are organized.
